Strawberry Flamingo June Bearing distinct appearance lush plants produce masses of fruit in June with a tropical taste of pineapple! Small to medium-sized natural white strawberry hybrid with a blush of pink are aromatic and flavorful. They are Self-pollinating however plant another strawberry variety to improve fruit production. Use alongside red varieties as a groundcover or border plants for landscape interest with an edible-fruit bonus. Height 6-12 inches, Spreads 1-3 feet, remove all fruit frecuently this will remove any potential for grey mould issues in the next flowering cycle. Plant 12 to 18 inches apart. Remove some of the runners throughout the season to contain the plants to the area desired. This variety does well in containers.
Care Instructions
Light: Requires full sun (6-8 hours daily) for optimal fruit production.
Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water deeply 1-2 times per week, adjusting for weather conditions.
Soil: Prefers well-draining, nutrient-rich soil with a slightly acidic pH (5.5–6.5).
Fertilizing: Feed with a balanced, natural fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season. Avoid over-fertilizing to prevent excessive leaf growth at the expense of fruit.
Mulching: Apply straw or mulch around the base to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and keep fruit clean.
Pruning: Remove runners unless propagating, and trim dead or yellowing leaves to promote healthy growth.
Harvesting: Pick ripe strawberries regularly to encourage continuous fruiting.
